DONNNEONs L.A.

Judy and I spent our 17th Anniversary together in my 2nd home, L.A. and Palm Springs. I try to go there for my birthday every year, but lately that isn't happening. The last time I was in L.A. was 2001. A lot has changed, like most of our favorite restaurants have bitten the dust and the landscape has changed a bit, more buildings, less palm trees. But I still love L.A.

We did get lost of course the first hour. Lost in Culver City, mostly because the landscape did change. On Sepulveda going to Santa Monica there was an open field that you could see downtown L.A. in the distance, well, that's gone to a bunch of grotesque buildings. So, we found ourselves in Culver City, but I always wanted to visit Culver City, so I had my chance.

Judy did manage to get a picture of the "famous" Mt. St. Helens, (3rd pix). The rest are L.A. and Palm Springs. We climb the Carl Lykken trail everytime we can in Palm Springs, that's the pictures of the city of Palm Springs, from way up high on the mountain, a 4 hour hike up and down.

We take our picture at a tree on Palos Verdes cliffs everytime we visit, sort of a tradition.

Rarely do we go downtown, but they built the Disney Hall on 1st and it's such a cool looking building, weird shapes and so gray and shiny (before the buffing), also I like the Westin Buenaventure hotel, (the tube buildings).

Before we left we went up LaCienega Blvd to Sunset and down Beverly Drive to Olympic to Santa Monica State Beach. Always nice to watch sunset an hour before departing L.A.

So enjoy the pictures.
