Nikki, our cat, was put to sleep today after 20 years of being alive with Judy. She left a void in our home and will always be remembered. She was more than a cat, she was almost human with a bit of dog in her. She would walk to the store with us and wait and walk back home. Always want to be a part of what ever was going on. She even slept in the bed, under the covers with her head on a pillow. She didn't like a lot of cat food, but wanted your food, from refried beans to ice cream.

Last night was the Grand Opening of the Wave Hounds Surf Shop, it was quite the scene, Todd and Nadia put on a great opening, and I didn't put a lamp shade on and dance on a table. But I did sorta browse into a few surfboards lined up on the wall. At least, I knew my limit and went home after a few hours.

So, I'm still hurting from the surfboard paddling lesson last Friday. But thanks to Todd, who took me to the lake to get a sense of what being on a surfboard actually is.
Far more challenging then I expected. I knew it would be extremely difficult to do, but I really didn't think of all that could go wrong and what I didn't think about, like almost tipping over, and probably because I fought so hard to maintain control, that's why my torso is so messed up..etc.
But, I tried it, and once I heal up, I'm gonna give it another shot, I still have to learn how to do the crawl stroke and build up my stamina to paddle for long distances without hurting myself.

Finally after a few months, 4 Your Eyes Only, Judy's new enterprise, has a web site. It's not totally finished, still has pages to go, but the homepage is complete, at least for now.

Looks like Todd and Nadia are moving into the neighborhood, gonna help him move in a few blocks from here. Summer seems to be slowly disappearing, the hot weather is gone, and average Seattle temps are back. Still working on getting 4 Your Eyes website completed and I'm still trying to come up with a cool home page for me, but I did start playing with Flash again, finally had some time to experiment. Vortex 10.

Just getting over the trama of cutting my hair before the big vacation/convention next week for Vision Expo West in Las Vegas. Judy and I are checking out the latest in eyewear.
Todd and Nadia, are in San Diego this weekend for the ASR convention for surfing. He asked me to watch the shop today, but I had to decline, being a gromie to surfing, I felt I didn't have the experience to enlighten others on surfing or the other aspects of surfing retail, etc.

Today was my parents anniversary, but since my mom isn't here anymore, I don't know if that still works. My anniversary of moving west is today also, 22 years. Tomorrow, Judy and I are heading to Vegas for the convention.
We're staying at The Mirage Hotel. It's suppose to have a tropical feel, hopefully, we'll get to spend some time there for the price we're paying.

First day of Autumn, dread it all coming this way, it was just summer a minute ago! Anyway, been working since being back from Vegas, so pix and data not being produced just yet, if anyone is waiting for that quick trip to Vegas show and tell. This week I have found a new band to listen to, which isn't that big of a deal, but rarely do I find a band that's new I like. Avenged Sevenfold, nice and technical metal.

The operating system on my computer disintergrated last Thurs. so now I'm back to square one, trying to get it all back together again, so have patience with whatever is happening. I had to upgrade, meaning some things became obsolete, like the webcam, and some other useful tools. I do have pictures of our Vegas trip, check out the link at the top of the page.

This month went fast, due to working a lot on webstuff and other things. Had a slight cold. Hurt my shoulder parking the van one day. Been having lots of aches and pains mostly in my lower back, don't know why this is all happening at once, but...Haven't had much time to spend at the surf shop. Getting my computer back into something reasonable to deal with. Working on a new website and new Ads for the eyewear store.

So, Judy's 4 Your Eyes Only website is mostly finished. New Ad in the Seattle Weekly this week for the eyestore, first one in awhile. Still waiting for photos and content for my "current" website project. Made another, yes, another updated version of my donnneon.com website. Winter is here again, Matamanoa, in Fiji looks good this time of year. Still dealing with computer issues, something always seems to pop up when doing something I've done for ages; just have to go with the flow, I guess.

Got a new webcam, not like the old webcam, buggy as ever, all this new stuff, don't know if it's XP or what, but I continue trying to remedy it all, I may just have to by pass a lot of stuff to get things to work properly.

Well today is JFK day, do you remember where you were? So, busy, busy, busy, no time for anything it seems. 2 more days until Thanksgiving and Christmas is around the corner. Someday the fog will lift from Seattle and maybe the sun will shine. So it's cryptic this blog today, poetic in a way, not much more to say.

Raining and really damp or cold, whichever way you wish to feel it. Not much really going on today, not really in the mood to do anything except surf the net and listen to my new CD from System of a Down, and Avenged Sevenfold. Waiting for my CDs in the mail, NIN, Obituary, Garbage and Nightwish, sorta can't wait to hear Nightwish, the others I have all their CDs already so I know what to expect. Nightwish is from Finland and have a different metal sound, so waiting at the mailbox daily for that gem.

Judy is at Antioch University these last 2 days doing a craft fair with her jewelry. I've been busy listening to my new CDs, NIN is messed up so I'm gonna have to return that, but Garbage is great as ever. Obituary is obituary, death metal is starting, mind you, starting to bore me, but I've been listening to it since 1991, guess anything would after those many years. Nightwish sounds so much like Rick Wakeman it's weird, but I listen to Garbage and System of a Down mostly, like all day long. Working on a poster for 4 Your Eyes Only and still redesigning WSRC for the new year. Didn't get the snow today, that was good, I hate snow. But it's cold and gloomy anyways.

It snow here Thurs. just for a little while, just enuff to get me scared about driving to work later that night, but it melted way before that, so glad it came and went. Sent the NIN back, I did get it working for a few tracks, then it zapped out again. Still working on WSRC, I can't seem to get a good muse going, I have a month before it's suppose to be done, so I'll get it one way or the other. 2 more days will be my mother's 2 year anniversary of her being gone. I should give my dad a call soon, just to see how he's doing. Well, back to the ol' notepad.

Monday was a surfing day of gloom, Clark Foam went out of business, they manufacture the form core in surfboards and make up 90% of the industry, so Black Monday for the surfing community, until further notice, gossip has it that the EPA shut them down, but now the EPA is saying it didn't, so we'll see. I also started to get another cold, I just had one a couple of months ago! I almost finished the WSRC redesigned site, just have to finish it up. I might have another site on the horizon, but that's still in the works. I hate having colds, they really waste your time, sniffling, coughing, aching, and I need a good nights rest....maybe I'll take Nyquil, or a generic version, yeah, that's the ticket!

Well, I'm over my cold almost, I haven't really been out to the surf shop since last Monday, so I don't know if the price of a board went up or not. I did finish the WSRC redesign and Christmas is just around the corner, very hectic time, christmas is. My friend Deb is out of the hospital after a nasty car accident, hope you feel better soon. Christmas cards are on the way, promise and also my yearly email Flash xmas card is in the making, so onward to the big December holidays, known this year to me as Happy Hollywoodays!, a mixture of Happy Holidays and Hollywood, why? I haven't the foggiest, just being goofy, since Chrismukkah is taken I guess...

Finally stopped by the surf shop a couple of days ago, all is well, the state of the surfing community is strong..Got the xmas flash card waiting in the wings, next week I'm gonna flood the email system to all of you out there in my address book, bet you can't wait...I know I can't, but I must...how you say, ahh yes, xmas...anywho, just chilling, literally, it's cold out here and at least it's not snowing or raining. Gee, that's it, nothing new to report, just checking in, oh, yeah, I love my Nightwish CD, I knew I would, it takes awhile on some. Started playing along with the new CDs with my guitar, so having some fun. I have a wish list for more music, go figure! Hope Santa is listening, I know Dr. Frasier Crane is.

2 Days til Christmas! O Joy! What fun to be had! So this week I've been working my 'day job' just in time for Christmas, so haven't been doing the chore of shopping, which is always good, but who will keep the economy going? Oh well, shhh, I did go shopping - honest. She'll be happy, I hope, anyway, besides working, not much happening, was playing 3D Pinball on the computer for a bit, I never play games, but I thought a break was needed, played my guitar today for 2 hours, or more, until my shoulder and arm hurt, not use to that anymore. Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to work I go...

Christmas is over and I hope all had a good one. One of my friends lost her dad prior to Christmas and while she's still recovering from a car accident, my heart goes out to her on this sad occasion, too much too fast.
